The short answer

Yes — Vextrify works with NEJE. NEJE diode lasers are GRBL-based and connect to Vextrify over USB directly. Beyond control, Vextrify is a full suite: it prepares photos, removes backgrounds, vectorizes logos and lays out jobs, then runs the machine — and it manages several machines, each in its own tab, on macOS, Windows and Linux. You can start free in the browser and add the desktop app for live control.

  • Connects to NEJE diode lasers
  • Framing, dry-run and live job control
  • Built-in photo, background, vector and relief prep

Connecting your NEJE

NEJE diode lasers are GRBL-based and connect to Vextrify over USB directly. Once connected, Vextrify gives you framing to position the job, a dry-run to check travel, and live control to start, pause, resume or stop — with the device's safety limits respected. If you would rather finish in another tool, Vextrify exports clean files for LightBurn and EZCAD, and .rd files for Ruida controllers.

  • USB connection with profile detection
  • Framing, dry-run and live job control
  • Clean exports for LightBurn / EZCAD / Ruida (.rd)

Prepare the artwork in the same app

The biggest difference from a plain controller is everything that happens before the burn. With your NEJE, Vextrify lets you prepare photos for engraving, remove busy backgrounds, extract cut contours, vectorize logos to SVG and lay everything out millimetre-accurately on the machine bed — all feeding straight into the job, with no exporting and re-importing between programs.

  • Photo engraving prep with material-aware tones
  • Background removal, contour-to-SVG and vectorize
  • Millimetre-accurate layout on the machine bed

More than a controller

Vextrify runs natively on macOS, Windows and Linux and in the browser, so your NEJE workflow is not tied to one operating system. A calibrated camera places designs exactly on the material, a built-in material test grid helps you find your own speed and power, and you can manage several machines, each in its own tab from one license — useful as soon as you add a second machine.

  • Native macOS, Windows and Linux, plus browser
  • Camera placement on the material
  • Several machines, each in its own tab, one license

Get started with your NEJE

Create a free account and load a photo in the browser first to see it prepared, then install the desktop app to connect your NEJE for live control. No second computer or operating-system switch required.

Common questions

Does Vextrify work with NEJE lasers?

Yes. NEJE diode lasers are GRBL-based and connect to Vextrify over USB directly. Vextrify also prepares your artwork and manages several machines, each in its own tab.

Can I control my NEJE over USB?

Yes. Vextrify connects over USB with framing, dry-run and live job control, within the device's safety limits.

Does it run on a Mac?

Yes. Vextrify runs natively on macOS, Windows and Linux and in the browser, so your NEJE is not tied to a single operating system.

Is there free software for NEJE lasers?

For GRBL-based NEJE models, yes: LaserGRBL (Windows) and Rayforge (Windows, macOS, Linux) are free. Vextrify shows your photo prepared for free in the browser; exporting needs a Studio plan and laser control a Studio Pro plan.

Can I still use LightBurn with my files?

Yes. Vextrify opens LightBurn projects (.lbrn2), material libraries (.clb) and device files (.lbdev), and exports clean files for LightBurn and EZCAD, and .rd files for Ruida controllers, whenever you prefer to finish a job elsewhere.
